BLANCHESTER — Wilmington’s Rodger O. Borror Middle School wrestling team finished fourth Saturday at the Blanchester Middle School Invitational.
The Hurricane had 140.5 points while championship Lebanon finished with 291. Blanchester was ninth while East Clinton finished 15th.
Wilmington had back-to-back champions with Max McCoy winning at 104 (pin in 2:51) and Josiah Puller winning at 110 (pin in 58 seconds). Ioan Cioca had a pin in 1:12 to win the 160 title. Billy Skinner was third at 80 pounds.
Laylla Sears of Blanchester took first at 86 pounds, posting a 4-0 win over Destin Sheilds of CNE in the title match. Kane Scott of Blanchester was runnerup at 245 pounds, losing 8-5 in the championship match.
