WILMINGTON — Gavan Hunter led Clinton-Massie to a 2686 to 2521 win over Hillsboro Wednesday at Royal Z Lanes.
“This match was a good win for our program,” CM coach Tyler Hayslip said. “Hillsboro always has a strong program and always does well. The boys showed some fight in game 2 after not doing so well in game 1. This was a good way to start the second half of our season.”
The Falcon girls were defeated 2049 to 1934.
”The improvements they have made since the beginning of the year have been great to see,” Hayslip said. “A few more spares made throughout the match and the outcome may have been different.”
Khyla Jaramillo led the girls with a consistent 340 series.
In the boys match, Hunter had a 493 series with a high game of 255.
“Gavan rolled the ball really well,” Hayslip said. “He couldn’t miss the pocket.”
