Blanchester girls rally to beat Bethel-Tate at Batavia Bowl

BATAVIA — The Blanchester High School girls bowling team rallied in the baker games to defeat Bethel-Tate Tuesday night at Batavia Bowl 1728 to 1656.

The BHS boys were defeated by the Tigers. Blanchester coach Paul Jackson said his squad “struggled to find their marks; both teams had a hard time with consistency.”

Braxton McFaddin was the top bowler for the BHS boys with a 334 series.

Blan is 1-7 in league play while Bethel-Tate is 5-5.

In the girls match, Blanchester held a 22-pin lead after team games then went down six after the first baker game.

“After that, the girls turned it up to win by 72 pins,” Jackson said.

Makayla Lanham (273) and Katelyn Toles (260) led Blanchester.

Blanchester is third in the SBAAC National Division with a 5-3 record while Bethel-Tate is second with an 8-2 record.
