GOSHEN — Clinton-Massie’s modest two-game win streak ended Thursday to SBAAC American Division co-leader Goshen, 53-29.
Goshen is 15-6 overall and 8-1 in the American. Western Brown also is 8-1 in league play.
Clinton-Massie goes to 7-11 overall and 3-6 in the American Division. The Falcons lost 60-48 in the first meeting.
“They controlled the tempo tonight,” CM coach Hilma Crawford said. “We had some success in the first game with them pushing the ball up the floor. They knew we like to run, so they wanted to slow the pace down a bit.”
Peyton Shafer of Goshen led all scorers with 23 points.
“Not too many teams in this after start (players whose heights are) 6-2, 5-11, 5-11, 5-10, 5-8,” Crawford said. “Goshen playing a 1-3-1 (zone) gave us some problems with their length.”
Aidan Eades had eight points, six rebounds, four steals and three assists to lead Clinton-Massie in each category. Hannah Bowman also scored eight points.
