Massie boys, girls earn 3 firsts at Georgetown meet

GEORGETOWN – Clinton-Massie had three event champions Thursday at the Georgetown Season Opener track and field meet at Vern Hawkins Track.

For the girls, Emma Muterspaw won the 3,200-meter run in 13:39.02; teammate Maddy Spiewak was fourth (15:09.86).

The 4×800-meter relay team of Emma Muterspaw, AJ Houseman, Maddy Spiewak and Nora Voisey were first (11:25.34).

Ethan Hagerman won the boys discus (109-6) with Seth Schmidt second (101-6).

Team scores were not posted for the invitational.

For the girls, the 4×200 relay of Regan Cole, Kenley Robinson, Ally Wellman and Ashley Doyle ran 2:04 and placed second.

The team of Molly Lynch, Rylee Richardson, Ally Wellman and Ashley Doyle ran 58.03 and finished second in the 4×100 relay. In the 1,600-meter relay, Kaylynn Woolverton, Muterspaw, Houseman and Voisey finished second (5:03.56).

Carly Moritz was fourth in the 100-meter hurdles (19.72). Ashley Doyle was seventh (13.84) and Ally Wellman eighth (14.08) in the 100-meter dash. Doyle was fourth in the 200 (29.92).

Muterspaw was third (6:03.46) in the 1,600-meter run and Houseman was fifth (6:27.61). Houseman finished fifth in the 800 (3:00.46).

In the 300-meter hurdles, Moritz was third (57.52) and Holly Young fourth (60.08). Voisey was second in the high jump (5-2) and Doyle finished fourth (4-8.25). Wellman was eighth in the long jump (12-0).

For the boys, the 4×800 relay team was fourth (9:54.87). Matt Martin ran 19.92 an was eighth in the 110 hurdles. Daelin Maple was fifth (11.88) in the 100-meter dash. Maple then ran second in the 200 (24.81).

The runnerup 4×200 relay of Joe Hammonds, Tyler Beam, Carter Frank and JT Goings ran 1:44.36. Logan Fisher was seventh in the 1,600 meters (5:41.4).

The team of Beam, Devon Noble, Maple and Tate Olberding ran 47.56 and finished second in the 4×100 relay. Goings was fourth (58.28) in the 400-meter dash. The team of Olberding, Goings, Noble and Aidan Wallace ran 3:57.68 and finished third in the 4×400 relay.

In the 300-meter hurdles, Matt Martin was seventh (51.97) and Braden Rolf finished eighth (52.96). Colin McDowell ran the 800 and was fourth (2:23.81) while Brayden Green was seventh (2:29.59). Luke Lentine was eighth (12:26.77) in the 3,200-meter run.

Rolf (8-0) was fourth and Carter Woolverton fifth (8-0) in the pole vault. Olberding was fourth (5-6) in the high jump and eighth in the long jump (16-2.5). In the shot put, Colton Trampler was eighth (32-3).
