WILMINGTON – The Wilmington High School softball team defeated Talawanda 10-0 Wednesday in a non-league game on the WHS diamond.

The Hurricane scored three runs in the first and never looked back.

Olivia Veidt struck out nine in a complete game pitching performance.

Harlie Bickett had three hits while Jena Rhoads and Madi Flint drove in three runs each.

“The girls continued their stellar defensive play behind Olivia, who threw another great game,” WHS coach Brian Spurlock said.
