WC women 7th at Tiffelberg Invitational

TIFFIN – The Wilmington College women’s track and field team finished seventh Saturday at the Tiffelberg Invitational at Heidelberg University.

Wilmington was runnerup among Division III schools with 34 points, trailing only Wittenberg.

Morgan Loomis had a personal best 111-6.25 in the javelin and finished third. Kayli Sullivan was fifth in the hammer throw (139-6.5).

Emma Burke was third in the 400-meter hurdles (65.35). Katie Hughes, a Clinton-Massie graduate, was sixth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (12:49.00).

The Quakers 4×400 relay team of Cheyenne Rhodes (Blanchester graduate), Burke, Sidney Fields and Amber LaRotonda ran a season’s best 4:17.36 and finished fourth overall.

Rhodes posted personal best times in the 200- and 400-meter (63.57) dashes. LaRotonda also posted a PR in the 400 (66.88).

Wilmington will compete in the All-Ohio meet this coming weekend at Ohio Wesleyan University.
