CM softball corrals Mustangs 18-1

LYNCHBURG – Clinton-Massie’s top four hitters combined for 13 hits as the Lady Falcons routed Lynchburg-Clay 18-1 in five innings Monday in non-league action in Highland County.

Taylor Florea pitched a four-hitter for CMHS, striking out 10 to improve her record to 4-2.

The Lady Falcons are 8-2 on the year.

“We had a good week last week getting six games in, with five on tap this week,” CM coach Anthony Lauer said. “We are starting to hit the ball well. Our defense has made some plays and our pitchers are pitching good. Hopefully we can continue to build off these victories.”

Lindsey Carter, Victoria Sivert, Natalie Lay and Kendall Anderson were a combined 13-for-21 with 13 runs scored, 10 runs batted in and a pair of homers at the top of the CM lineup.
