Massie boys, girls win Batavia Invitational titles

BATAVIA – The Clinton-Massie boys and girls track and field teams were both victorious Monday at the Batavia Invitational.

Led by Alec McDonald, the CM boys cruised to a 122-83 win over runnerup Goshen.

McDonald won the 110-meter high hurdles (16.7), the 300-meter intermediate hurdles (45.0) and was part of the winning 4×200-meter relay (1:37.3) along with Carter Frank, Devon Noble and Tate Olberding.

Olberding posted wins in the long jump (19-1.25) and the high jump (5-10). Seth Schmidt won the discus (129-3); Tyler Beam took first in the shot put (42-10) and Colin McDowell won the 800-meters (2:17.8).

The Lady Falcons edged Williamsburg 100-96.

Emma Muterspaw won the 3,200-meters (13:13.6) and Rylee Richardson hit the line first in the 100-meter hurdles (16.3). Richardson then teamed with Molly Lynch, Ally Wellman and Ashley Doyle to win the 4×100-meter relay (54.4).
