COVINGTON, Ky. – Covington Catholic scored the first 22 points Tuesday night en route to a 62-15 win over Wilmington in reserve boys basketball action at CCHS.

The unbeaten Colonels were led in scoring by a 13-point effort from Jake Walter, the 7-0, 280-pound son of former Bengals lineman Joe Walter.

Matt Smith had 13 of Wilmington’s 15 points. Layne Griffith scored 2 points.

Wilmington is now 2-5 on the year while Covington Catholic is unbeaten at 9-0.
