BLANCHESTER – Felicity scored three runs in the eighth inning Monday and defeated Blanchester 9-6 in SBAAC National Division softball.
Blanchester is 2-13 overall and 2-6 in division play.
Felicity is 10-3 overall and 6-2 in the National.
“All I can ever ask the girls to do is give their best and give us a chance to win a ball game and they did that,” BHS coach Jamey Grogg said. “Unfortunately, we came up short.”
Blan led 4-0 after two then trailed 6-4. BHS tied the game in the sixth when Elecia Patton stole third and scored on a throwing error.
The Ladycats had a chance to win it in the seventh but couldn’t push a run across with the bases loaded and one out.
Zoie Stanforth pitched well, allowing just four earned runs.
