Lady Falcons crush St Bernard 67-11

OWENSVILLE – Clinton-Massie scored the first 22 points and rolled to a 67-11 victory over St. Bernard-Elmwood Place in the first semifinal of the Clermont Northeastern Girls Holiday Classic Monday.

The Falcons (11-1) advance to play Clermont Northeastern in the championship game at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Miquela Santoro led the Falcons with 21 points, nine steals and seven assists, despite just playing two and a half quarters.

She had 13 points, three steals and two assists in the first quarter alone. She also forced a 10-second violation by herself after a Titan steal at the top of the key.

Teammate Johanna Theetge joined Santoro in double figures with 10 points. She also had seven rebounds.

Janice Allen led St. Bernard with nine points.

All of the Falcon starters watched from the bench the last half of the second quarter. They returned for the third quarter to shut out the Titans 19-0.

St. Bernard cracked double-figures with its final points with 6:21 left in the game.

Massie scored the game’s final eight points.
