East Clinton track and field seniors were recognized Monday night at Hillsboro High School in a tri-meet with Hillsboro and Wilmington.

Seniors are Alexandria Hughes, Brittney Wheeler, Reese Morgan and Mackenzie Campbell, who competed in the last regular season meet of their high school careers, coach Michael Fritz said..

Both EC boys and girls finished third in the meet.

Carah Anteck won the 1,600-meter run and was second in the 800- and 3,200-meter runs.

Aidan Henson had a trio of third-place finishes for the Astros – long jump, 400-meter dash and 800-meter run.
