The Clinton County Board of Developmental Disabilities partnered with the men’s and women’s soccer programs at Wilmington College to host the annual WAASP (Wilmington Area Adapted Soccer Program) soccer camp.

The camp was sponsored by EMG & Rehabilitation Physicians – John Petty, M.D. and Ryan Hinman, M.D.

Volunteer college players provided basic soccer fundamentals, training and recreational play for the athletes.

On the last night several players from the Wilmington High School girls soccer team participated in the camp and played in unified scrimmages.

There were 28 athletes who participated.

CCBDD Community Integration Coordinator Josh “Eddie” Adkins said, “We just want to thank our sponsors EMG Physicians and Wilmington College for their continued support. Also, we say thank you to the Wilmington High School girls team for their participation.”
