WAYNESVILLE — The Rodger O. Borror Middle School eighth grade girls basketball team defeated Waynesville 49-30 Saturday and remained unbeaten this season.

Olivia Veidt led the young Lady Hurricane with 16 points, grabbed 8 rebounds, came up with 2 steals and blocked a shot.

Karlie Morgan had 10 points, 9 rebounds and a blocked shot. Jasmine Jamiel had 9 points, 4 rebounds and 2 steals. Sami McCord scored 6 points, 3 rebounds a steal and a blocked shot. Madison Moore scored 6 points.

Sophie Blessing chipped in with 2 points, 2 rebounds and a steal.

Lexi Evans had 2 rebounds. Allie Kees had 2 rebounds and 2 steals. Abigail Gillman had a rebound and a steal.The ROB girls made just 12 of 25 free throws, coach Ken Fliehman said.
