Foundation sets first golf tourney

The Burton, Hale & Vogel Legacy Foundation is hosting its first annual golf tournament on Oct. 12 at 1:30 p.m. at Majestic Springs Golf Club.

The golf outing will consist of 4-person teams (scramble format) with a cost of $75/player, including cart. There will be raffles and prizes as well as $1,000 grand prize to the winning team.

The BHV Legacy Foundation is a 100% nonprofit organization founded by Jeff Burton, Myron Hale and Cole Vogel, all of Clinton County.

All funds generated will be deposited back into Clinton County via scholarships for all county schools and philanthropy within the county.

Local golfer records ace

In the Majestic Springs Wednesday night league on July 17, Max Carnevale recorded a hole-in-one on the 155-yard number 17 with a 9 iron.

Playing in the group were Keith Mattison, Scott McCarren and Ron Cordy.
