WILMINGTON – After a slow start, the Wilmington Hurricane volleyball team stormed Franklin 25-16, 25-14, 25-20 Wednesday to win a non-league match at Fred Summers Court.

“We came out a little flat, not as energetic or intense as we’ve been in other matches,” WHS coach Jenna Persinger said.

For Wilmington, it was the third match in five days. The previous two matches both went to five sets.

“I give credit to my girls; they came out and did what they needed to do to get the job done in three sets,” said Persinger. “We are still learning how to win., Our goal is to get a little better every day and I believe we are doing that.”
