BLANCHESTER — Sparked by Kelsey Naylor’s first career goal, the Blanchester girls soccer team defeated Felicity 2-0 Tuesday in SBAAC National Division play at Barbour Memorial Field.

Celebrating Youth Night with a win, Blanchester is now 2-8 on the year.

Naylor opened the scoring by curling in a corner kick just five minutes into the match.

Midway through the first half, Rylan Coyle put BHS up 2-0. Naylor lofted the ball over the FHS defense to Coyle, who hit the crossbar with a shot that found the back of the net.

Bri Haun and Emma Winemiller played well defensively to help Blanchester earn the shutout. Alyssa Griffith and Lacie Tedrick combined their play in goal for seven saves.
