EC youth basketball honored

The East Clinton youth recreational and traveling basketball teams were honored Tuesday night during the boys basketball games against Washington Senior High School at ECHS.

EC athletic director Jim Marsh said 200 youth players, cheerleaders and coaches were recognized at halftime of the varsity game.

“I know I enjoyed it and it looked like the athletes and coaches enjoyed it also,” Marsh said.

Marsh said there were 92 athletes and coaches representing the recreation league and 108 athletes, cheerleaders and coaches representing the travel league teams.

Marsh noted the traveling league teams from East Clinton have been on the road for 20 years.
