Ladycats pick up National Division road win

FELICITY — Winning in the league on the road for the first time since Aug. 29, the Blanchester volleyball team defeated Felicity 25-21, 25-19, 25-18 Wednesday in SBAAC National Division play.

Blanchester is 4-7 overall and 3-5 in the National. BHS won at Georgetown then lost its next three National road matches.

For Felicity, the overall record is 3-8 with a 1-6 divisional mark.

Ally Davis and Caili Baumann combined for 22 of the team’s 31 kills. “They really hit the ball well,” BHS coach Jenna Weisflock said.

Davis had 11 points, two digs and 19 perfect passes while Baumann totaled 13 points, three blocks and two perfect passes.

Also, Holly Scott had 16 points, 11 assists, a kill and three perfect passes. Madison Creager contributed 12 points, two kills, four digs and nine perfect passes. Emma Falgner had four digs and one perfect pass. Ainsley Whitaker had an assist, two blocks and a perfect pass.

Hailey Mulvihill chipped in with five points, five kills and four blocks. Summer Schutte had seven points, 16 assists, a kill and a perfect pass. Makayla Lanham finished with a dig and six perfect passes.
