McConahay advances to district golf tournament

MIAMISBURG – East Clinton’s Gage McConahay qualified for the Division II Southwest District boys golf tournament.

With an 81, McConahay was sixth overall but the second individual not on a district qualifying team. McConahay had 42-39 in the 18-hole event.

Dan Flannery of Oakwood was the sectional medalist with a 75.

As a team, neither East Clinton nor Clinton-Massie qualified to the district tournament.

East Clinton was 10th overall with a 404.

Nathan Ellis followed McConahay’s 81 with a 98 (48-50). Lane Baker had a 110 (51-59) and Quinton Tolle shot a 115 (54-61). Evan Stewart carded a 122 (57-65).

Kettering Alter was the overall team champion with a 322. Oakwood was second with 324.

Clinton-Massie came in 14th with a 415.

Dakota Gasaway had a 91 (45-46) and Jonathan Rumbarger finished with 103 (51-52). Ethan Johnson carded a 106 (55-51) and Michael Moritz came in with 115 (59-56). Clay Carroll shot a 121 (61-60).
