CHILLICOTHE — The Rodger O. Borror eighth grade girls basketball team lost its first game of the year, 46-36, Monday at Chillicothe.

Borror, 11-1 on the year, was led by Olivia Veidt who had 12 points, 15 rebounds and two blocked shots.

Sami McCord added 11 points, four rebound and five steals. Sophie Blessing had three rebounds. Jasmine Jamiel had nine points, three steals and two rebounds. Lexi Evans had a rebound.

Allie Kees had two points, a rebound, a steal and a blocked shot. Karlie Morgan had two points, five rebounds, three steals and a blocked shot.

The young Lady Hurricane trailed 17-6 after one quarter and 24-19 at halftime, coach Ken Fliehman said.
