Massie boys sweep SBAAC American honors

Clinton-Massie earned player and coach of the year honors in SBAAC American Division boys soccer voting.

Rafael Bellucci Marin was player of the year and co-coaches Logan Madrigal and Julio Madrigal earned coach of the year for the American Division champion Falcons.

Other county first-team honors went to Sam Binau, Trevor McGuinness and MP Pipolo of Clinton-Massie; Wilmington’s Josh Vaughan and Brady Vilvens in the American; and Reagan Burch and Carter Stevens of Blanchester in the National.

East Clinton does not have boys soccer.

Second team county honors were given to Jacob Romer and Matt Butcher of Wilmington; Joe Hammonds, Marty Kreider and Logan Meyers of Clinton-Massie; and Tanner Kellermann and Cameron Skidmore of Blanchester.

Honorable mention athletes were Caleb Reed of Wilmington, Barek Bennett of Clinton-Massie, and Cameron Gibson of Blanchester.

Other first-teamers in the American Division were Jimmy Cowan and Andrew Ruby of Batavia; Chris Bradley, Matthaus Buechner and Ryan Willemin of Goshen; Ukiah Kirschner of New Richmond; and Dylan Coffey of Western Brown; and in the National Division, Matheus Azevedo, Sean Fallis, Casey Fischer and Cooper Reinhart of Bethel-Tate; Jered Glancy and Austin Yeager of Clermont Northeastern; Colton Stamper of Felicity; Garrett Ernest, Joshua Galley and Carson Miles of Georgetown; and Dan Jones of Williamsburg.

In the National Division, Fischer of BT was player of the year and Dave Schellenberger, also of BT, was coach of the year.
