16-3 BHS faces 16-3 CM in tourney opener

In a rare battle of 16-3 teams in the first round, Blanchester and Clinton-Massie will square off in a Div. II Lebanon Sectional girls basketball game to tip off the post-season for Clinton County.

The Ladycats of the Southern Buckeye Conference will face the Lady Falcons of the South Central Ohio League 7:30 p.m. Feb. 11 at Lebanon High School.

Clinton-Massie is the No. 3 seed in the tournament while Blanchester is the No. 5 seed.

Wilmington is the No. 6 seed and will play No. 9 seed Chaminade-Julienne 11 a.m. Feb. 13 at Lebanon. The Lady Hurricane is 9-10 and the Lady Eagles are 8-11.

Archbishop Alter is the No. 1 seed in the sectional with Bellbrook the No. 2 seed. Thurgood Marshall is the No. 4 seed.

The WHS-CJ winner plays either Marshall or Valley View 7:30 p.m. Feb.16.

The BHS-CM winner will play either Ross or Oakwood 6 p.m. Feb. 16.

East Clinton is the No. 18 seed in the Div. III Cincinnati Sectional and will play its games at Fred Summers Court. The Lady Astros will play No. 3 seed Greeneview 2 p.m. Feb. 13 in Wilmington.

The winner plays either Aiken or Williamsburg 7:30 p.m. Feb. 16 at FSC.
