The Lady Falcons fall to 0-3, 0-1 while the Lady Broncos are 1-1, 1-0.

“Very proud of the way we played and how hard we played against one of the top teams in the league,” CM coach Tim McGraw said.

Doss was hot right from the start, hitting a trio of three-pointers in the opening period.

She connected on two more in the third and then three in the fourth for a career-best eight three-pointers.

Massie trailed big early 23-12 but battled back in the second period as Kenzie Avery scored 10 points and Maddie Phipps tossed in eight.

It was a 49-48 Western Brown lead going to the fourth. The Falcons fell behind by 10 but continued to play hard.

“We had a tough stretch in the fourth … but kept battling,” McGraw said.
