Wilmington College sophomore Isak Alin was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men’s Swimmer of the Week for his performance at the Ohio Wesleyan University Invitational this past weekend.

Alin broke his own record in the 100-yard individual medley, swimming a time of 54.52 seconds and beating the entire field by more than three seconds. He also won the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:08.23 and placed second in the 100-yard breaststroke with a mark of 58.59 seconds.

“I am really happy for Isak as he continues to improve because of an incredible work ethic,” WC swim coach Trip Breen said. “He really applies things that he learns in practice to competition. This honor is something truly deserves after some outstanding swims last weekend.”

The Ohio Wesleyan Invitational closes out the 2019 calendar year for the Fightin’ Quakers. Wilmington returns to the pool at the University of Mount Union on Jan. 19.
