BHS boys rally for win over WHS at Royal Z

WILMINGTON — A strong effort down the stretch Monday helped Blanchester defeat Williamsburg in SBAAC National Division boys bowling action at Royal Z Lanes.

The Blanchester girls were defeated by Williamsburg 1,986 to 1,223 to remain winless on the year.

Aleah Wells had 221 for BHS while Bri Haun finished with 219. Jill Richardson followed for coach Troy Ballinger’s squad with a 198.

In the boys match, Ballinger said his squad rallied from a 50-pin deficit in the baker games. Josh Allen had a “clutch” 10th frame in the bakers to help BHS pull out a 2,206 to 2,183 win.

Bryan Brewer was the pinfall leader for Blanchester with 396. Allen had a 388, which included a 227 game.

The Blanchester boys are 4-1 on the season.
