WILMINGTON — It was a good night all the way around for the East Clinton bowling teams Wednesday against Georgetown at Royal Z Lanes.

The East Clinton girls picked up their first win of the season and the boys had a record day in their win over the G-Men.

For the boys, Patrick Dotson had a 264 game to set a new East Clinton single game record. Freddy Morgan had a 227 game, filling each from with a spare or strike for the second consecutive match.

The team posted a 674 single game and a two-game total of 1,288. Both are season highs for the Astros.

In the end, East Clinton defeated Georgetown 1,595 to 1,525.

For the girls, East Clinton came out on top for their first win of the season.

“The girls were loose before the match, seemed in a good mood,” coach Joe Davis said. “They lost the night before but had many game- and season-highs.”

Josie Runk had a personal best game of 155 and Jestiny Hughes posted a PR of 124. Tessa Bosier had games of 122 and 128. August Morgan finished with a 309 series (144, 165).

“I want to say my seniors — Jestiny Hughes and Mersadees Gulley — had been struggling early in the season but have been working hard and both girls have four games over 100,” Davis said.
