The East Clinton bowling teams were defeated in a pair of matches Monday by Clermont Northeastern at Royal Z Lanes in SBAAC National Division play.

The boys were defeated 2,189 to 2,052 while the girls lost their match 1,848 to 1,666.

For the boys, coach Dale Wallace said the Astros won the baker games 581 to 574 but that was not enough for the overall match win. EC baker games were 208, 194, 163.

Individually, Patrick Dotson had 342 (181, 161) and Grant Wisecup finished with a 175 game.

On the girls side, the individual two-game series of 1,346 was a season best for East Clinton. Coach Joe Davis said the Lady Astros have not eclipsed 1,300 this season prior to Monday.

Josie Runk had the high game of 157 and a 283 series. Jestiny Hughes posted a personal best series of 284. Tessa Bosier had two 138 games while Austin Morgan had 153 and 185 for a 338 series. The 185 is a PR for Morgan.
