ADA — DaeShawn Jackson had a career-high 29 points Wednesday and led Wilmington to a convincing 85-69 Ohio Athletic Conference road win at Ohio Northern University.

The Quakers are 2-0 in the conference, 3-5 overall.

The Polar Bears drop to 2-4 overall and 0-2 in the OAC.

Jackson hit 11 of 16 from the field — 4 of 8 beyond the three-point arc — to lead a red-hot WC shooting night. Wilmington was 33 for 54 from the field (61 percent).

Jeffery Mansfield had 19 points.

Wilmington trailed once, for 19 seconds, then its defense took over. After Jackson made a three-pointer to put the Quakers on top for good, WC had steals on the next three possession and those led directly to baskets and a 9-2 lead. In all, WC converted 20 ONU turnovers into 29 points.
