6 advance to Elks District Hoop Shoot

Six winners were crowned local winners in the Wilmington Elks 797 annual Hoop Shoot competition.

The winners advance to the district Hoop Shoot Jan 18. at Wilmington College’s Fred Raizk Arena.

The winners were:

• 8-9-year-old girls: Addison McCulley

• 8-9-year-old boys: Jackson Earley

• 10-11-year-old girls: Addison Martin

• 10-11-year-old boys: Gunnar Martin

• 12-13-year-old girls: Leah Binau

• 12-13-year-old boys: Jace Pittser

Runnersup were Bella Mahanes in the 8-9 girls age group and Joseph Moore in the 8-9 boys; Lila Theetge in the 10-11 girls and Brady Mullins in the 10-11 boys; and Naveah Nance in the 12-13 girls and Michael Browning in the 12-13 boys.
