The East Clinton eighth grade girls basketball team defeated Blanchester 42-16 Wednesday night.

Lauren Runyon of EC led all scorers with 18 points. She also grabbed seven rebounds.

Jordan Collom had 13 points and seven assists.

East Clinton said the team came out motivated and was able to capitalize on good defense, which allowed for easy transition baskets. The coaches added everyone contributed in the win.
