WHS boys bowlers set 2 records in win

BATAVIA – Big games were bowled all around as the Wilmington High School boys bowling team had a record-setting day in a win over Batavia Thursday at Batavia Bowl.

The Hurricane had a single game record 1,177 in the first game and finished with a two-game school record of 2,232.

Grant Pickard led the way with games of 275 and 252 for a 527 series. Elijah Martin had 234 and 279 for a 511 series.

Hunter Gallion had a 247 game and Jordan Tackett finished with a 231 game.

The WHS girls bowlers also were victorious, 1,734 to 1,387.

Ariel Comberger led the charge with a 306 two-game set.
