CM bowlers have no trouble with Monroe

The Clinton-Massie bowling teams had no trouble with Monroe Wednesday at Royal Z Lanes.

Led by Aric France, the CM boys were 2,197 to 1,461 winners. France had a 491 series with games of 234 and 257.

For the girls, the Lady Falcons had 1,601 while the Lady Hornets had 1,323.

Casey Cochran (147 and 154) and Kathryn Wilson (143 and 158) finished with 301 series. Josie Wolfe had 285 (153 and 131).

Carole Cochran (104 and 128) and Gwen Broderick (87 and 127) also bowled for CMHS.

Baker games were 164 and 104.

“The girls continue to make great improvements,” CM coach Shonda Marburger said.

For the reserve girls, Brittany Fry had 165 and 104; Rachel Cochran had 120 and 113; and Jennifer Callewaert had 69 and 86.

For the boys, France started the first game with seven strikes in a row and then started the second game with eight straight strikes.

“Aric is a team leader with a great attitude,” Marburger said.

Joey Marburger had 420 with games of 198 and 220. David Poynter also bowled two games (189 and 152). Singles games were by Corey Potts 169, Jacob Wellman 150, Chandler Morsch 150 and Kenton McInerney 145.

Baker games were 180 and 151.
