London repeats as Blanchester Holiday Duals champion

BLANCHESTER — London successfully defended its title at the Blanchester Holiday Duals wrestling tournament Saturday afternoon.

James Peters of Blanchester was the tournament’s most valuable wrestling, fashioning an unbeaten record.

Blanchester’s Gage Huston had seven pins in the tournament.

The Red Raiders went 9-0 with narrow victories over runnerup Clinton-Massie (40-33) and third-place Blanchester (40-32).

The Falcons defeated Blanchester 39-36 in big match on Friday.

Clinton-Massie also defeated Madeira 57-15, Clermont Northeastern 45-24, Fenwick 69-6, Reading 53-21, Mt. Healthy 76-0, Batavia 39-35 and Hillsboro 72-6.

Blanchester had wins over Batavia 51-27, Hillsboro 84-0, Mt. Healthy 63-15, Reading 54-21, Clermont Northeastern 60-18, Madeira 68-18 and Fenwick 84-0.

Clermont Northeastern was third at 6-3 and was followed by Batavia 5-4, Reading 4-5, Mt. Healthy 3-6, Madeira 2-7, Hillsboro 1-8 and Fenwick 0-9.
