FELICITY — Felicity-Franklin outlasted East Clinton 53-49 Tuesday in overtime in SBAAC National Division boys basketball action.

East Clinton is 1-8 overall and 0-5 in the National Division.

Felicity is 2-7 overall and 1-4 in the division.

The free throw line proved to be one of the big differences in the game.

The Cardinals were 5 of 12 at the line in the first half then bounced back to make 12 of 15 in the second half and overtime. They were 4 of 5 in the extra session.

The Astros, on the other hand, were 7 for 15 in the game but just 3 of 10 in the fourth quarter and overtime.

Branson Smith led East Clinton with 16 points, 10 of those coming in the third period.

Carson Crozier of Felicity led all scorers with 20 points. He did his damage early, scoring 10 in the first period and four in the second. However, he was just 1 of 7 at the line in the first half.

Crozier had all 10 of Felicity’s points in the opening frame but East Clinton led 12-10. Five players were in on the scoring for EC, with Gunner Neanover leading the way with four.

In the second, East Clinton pushed its lead to 27-22. Balance again was the key as six Astros scored.

In the third, though, EC had no balance with Smith scoring all 10 points. Still, the Astros led 37-34 after three.

In the fourth, EC struggled at the line and FHS came back to send the game in to overtime.
