BMS girls sweep Georgetown in basketball

The Blanchester Middle School girls basketball teams swept Georgetown Wednesday in a pair of games.

The eighth grade Ladycats posted a 25-8 win to stop a three-game losing streak.

Kaylee Coyle had 10 points and five rebounds. Macey Waldron chipped in with six points and seven steals. Gracie Roy totaled four points and five rebounds.

Hope Blankenbeckler had three points and four rebounds while Abbey Irwin finished with two points and three rebounds. Gracie Kaehler, Annalee Miller-Steffen and Desireee Snader also played well in the win, coaches said.

The seventh grade squad was a 27-15 winner. Blanchester held Georgetown to two points in the fourth quarter to pull away for the comfortable victory.

Kylee Hamm had 17 points to top the scoring charts for Blanchester.

Maggie Grant had six points while Torie Potts and Alayna Davenport scored two points each.
