WASHINGTON CH — The East Clinton boys and girls bowling teams competed Saturday at the Baker Bowling Bonanza at Le Ella Lanes in Washington Court House.

The EC girls showed marked improvement from last week’s baker tournament, coach Joe Davis said.

The Astros had high games of 177, 156, 153 and 146. They finished with a pinfall count of 2,135 overal 16 games, a 133 average.

“Last week after 16 games, we had a 118 game average,” Davis said. “We improved a lot. We were on a roll at the break. I think this hurt our momentum but everyone had the same break.”

For the EC boys, consistency was the word. East Clinton had 1,029 through the first eight games and 1,033 in the last eight games for a 2,062 pinfall total, coach Dale Wallace said.
