Jackson Early and Addison Martin won age group championships Saturday at the Elks Southwest District Hoop Shoot event at Wilmington College’s Fred Raizk Arena.
Representing the Wilmington Lodge 797, Early won the 8-9 year old boys division and Martin won the 10-11 year old girls division. Martin is a past district and state champion.
The two now advance to the Elks State Hoop Shoot Championship Feb. 15 in Columbus.
Other local contestants finished third in their respective age groups.
Addison McCulley was third in the 8-9 year old girls division.
Gunnar Martin was third in the 10-11 year old boys group.
Leah Binau was third in the 12-13 year old girls division.
