The Wilmington College men’s and women’s swim team qualified for the 2019 Fall College Swimming Coaches of American Scholar All-America team Award.
In order to be considered for the award, teams must carry a cumulative 3.0 grade point average (GPA) for the fall semester. During the fall of 2019, the Fightin’ Quaker women boasted a 3.30 team GPA. The men had a 3.00 GPA.
“The coaching staff is as excited for the team’s success in the classroom as we are for the success they have in the pool,” WC head coach Trip Breen said. “Finding a great balance is what this experience is all about. A team GPA (this high) takes a total team effort. We are truly proud of them!”
