Wilmington earned the No. 2 seed in the Div. II Region 14 bracket of the OHSAA State Dual Team Tournament at Miami Trace High School.

The regional tournament will begin 9 a.m. Saturday at Trace.

East Clinton is not competing in the state dual tournament.

Wilmington was second only to Miami Trace in the seeding process. Clinton-Massie is the fourth seed and Blanchester is the fifth seed.

The winner of the regional advances to the state championship Feb. 16 at Ohio State University’s St. John Arena.

Jackson is the No. 3 seed in the tournament.

Blanchester will wrestle in the opening round against Unioto. The winner advances to face Clinton-Massie in the quarterfinals. Miami Trace, Bexley or Logan Elm would be the opponent in the semifinal round.

On Wilmington’s side of the bracket, Hartley faces McClain in the first round with the winning meeting the Hurricane in the quarterfinals.

In the semifinals, the WHS-Hartley-McClain winner will face Jackson, Gallia Academy or Washington Senior.
