The goal, according to a press release from the East Clinton Athletic Boosters, “is to renovate our fieldhouse and weightroom to make it a year-round facility.”

The project will entail installing new lockers for the high school and middle school boys and girls athletic teams along with heating, ventilation and air conditioning for both the fieldhouse and the weightroom. Also a new athletic training facility asnd bathroom and shower area are scheduled.

East Clinton graduate and long-time, successful football coach Andy Olds will lead the campaign in coordination with the booster club.

“We have been working on this project since last spring and I believe that with Andy’s passion and determination, this project will be completed by September,” the boosters press release stated. “This project will have a cost of over $100,000 and will come from money donated to East Clinton Athletic Boosters and East Clinton Local Schools through fundraisers and grants.

The campaign also includes a locker sponsorship, where individuals can have their name, years attending East Clinton, sport or activity participated in and a uniform number displayed at the updated fieldhouse.
