TROY — Blanchester’s Clayton Schirmer and Brent Hopkins were unable to place Saturday at the Div. III Southwest District wrestling tournament here at Hobart Arena.

The freshman duo both won matches Friday night and were able to get back on the mat Saturday.

Hopkins won his consolation second round match over Jacob Parsley of Amanda Clearcreek by pin in 2:30.

Hopkins then forfeited to Alex Rhine of Mechanicsburg in his next match and was unable to place in the top six.

Schirmer was pinned by Jared Ford of Covington in 3:02 in his consolation second round match.
