WHS reserve boys golfers edge Massie at Elks

WILMINGTON — The Wilmington High School junior varsity boys golf team defeated Clinton-Massie 205 to 213 Wednesday morning at the Elks 797 Golf Course.

Braydon Black and Tommy Halloran led Wilmington with 49s as the teams played the back nine at the Elks.

Brayden Smith followed with a 53 and Phil Fulton carded a 54.

Also for the Hurricane, Dirk Rinehart and Blake Gregory had 60s.

For Clinton-Massie, Logan Miller was low score with a 50. Clay Carroll came in with a 51 and George Chowning shot a 54. Quinton Smith also scored with a 58.

Samuel Janis posted a 62 and Ethan Robinette had a 64.
