BLANCHESTER — The Blanchester girls soccer team was defeated by Clermont Northeastern 4-2 Tuesday night in SBAAC National Division play at Barbour Memorial Field.
Down 1-0, Blanchester tied the match on a Rylan Coyle breakaway goal. Lana Roy assisted on the play. The Rockets took a 2-1 lead with 43 seconds remaining in the first half.
It remained a close match, coach Kristina White said, until midway through the second half when CNE went up 3-1. Coyle tallied her second goal and Roy her second assist to make it 3-2. The final Rockets goal came with three minutes remaining in the match.
