BLANCHESTER — The Blanchester High School boy soccer team won its second straight match, 3-0 Thursday over Williamsburg at Barbour Memorial Field.
The SBAAC National Division victory puts BHS at 2-6 overall and 1-4 in the division.
Williamsburg is 2-3 in the division and 2-5-1 in all matches.
“The boys played another great game,” said first-year coach Benny Spirk. “We really controlled the tempo of the game and did a good job creating attacking chances.”
Spirk said the defense in front of goalkeeper Zack West played well. For West, it was his second consecutive shutout.
Reagan Burch scored a pair of goals for BHS with Carter Stevens adding one goal. Shane Akers, Hunter Hartmann and Colton Wilson were credited with assists for Blanchester.
