WILMINGTON — The Morgans have cornered the market on East Clinton bowling records.

A week after August Morgan set the single game East Clinton girls bowling record, brother Shawn Morgan set a single game and two-game series record for the Astros.

At Royal Z Lanes, East Clinton was defeated by Georgetown in a pair of matches.

However, Morgan had a single game of 250 and a series of 474.

The final results for the girls were 1,859 for Georgetown and 1,693 for East Clinton.

Josie Runk led the way in her first match of the season with a 331 (207 and 124). Tessa Bosier had a 320 (179 and 146) while August Morgan had 321 (166 and 153).

Coach Joe Davis said three bowlers averaging 160 per game is good but the team needs to find more consistency, which he expects to happen as the season continues.

As for the boys, Georgetown won the match 2,377 to 2,206.

Following Morgan’s record night, Grant Wisecup had 373 (187 and 186) while Andy Gilliland finished with 357 (191 and 166).
