ROB girls basketball splits pair at Batavia

BATAVIA — Wilmington’s Rodger O. Borror Middle School girls basketball teams split games with Batavia Wednesday.

The seventh grade girls basketball team defeated Batavia 39-30.

Brynn Conley led the young Lady Hurricane with 16 points.

Coach Brian Long said the team’s defense set the tone and the girls played extremely hard.

Rylee Long had 15 points while Lauren Diels and Lilly Trentman scored four points each.

The eighth grade lost a close one, 32-31.

Elle Martin led Wilmington’s offense with 23 points. Kyli Lambcke scored 5 while Bailey Wheeler had 2 points and Emma Adams scored 1.

Coach Randall Davis said the team had great effort and continue to improve.
