The Blanchester seventh grade boys basketball team lost a close one Monday to Clermont Northeastern 36-34.

Blanchester, 1-3 on the year, will host Clinton-Massie on Wednesday.

Ayden Basham led Blanchester with 10 points while Lyric Dunham and Cohen Neff had 8 points each.

Matthew Adkins had 4 points and Conley Pembleton and Carson Wyss totaled 2 points each.
