EC reserve girls continue unbeaten run

The East Clinton reserve girls basketball team is now 8-0 this season following its 2021 debut, a 66-33 triumph over Bethel-Tate.

The Lady Astros led 15-6 after the first quarter then seized a 38-13 halftime lead. EC outscored Bethel-Tate 21-11 in the final period.

Jordan Collom paced the offense with 19 points but three others reached double figures as well — Jozie Jones 16, Jayden Murphy 11, Lauren Runyon 10.

Kelsie Lilly had 5 points and Lauren Stonewell added 3 points. Megan Tong finished with 2 points.

On Dec. 19, East Clinton defeated Blanchester 49-34.

The young Lady Astros jumped out to an 18-0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back.

Murphy finished with a team-high 15 points. Runyon added 12 and Stonewell totaled 10.

Jones had 8 points while Lilly and Tong scored 2 points each.
